If you had access to both of those bikes, which one (of the 2, thought I'd clarify that ;D ) would you prefer to build and why? I have a fair part of 2 Suzuki TS400s, 2 Yamaha DT400Bs and 2 Yamaha MX400Bs (the monoshock on the MXs will need to be rebuilt and serviced w/nitrogen though) Just thinking about putting something together to run around on out in the woods. I do have some SL350 material to do that with also but the SL is heavier than the 2 strokes.

        Thoughts - Pro &/or Con?  ???

2 strokes are fun but the 4 stroke is a lazy way to ride, I'm lazy and vote for the SL.

:D  Hey, I hear ya and I'm kinda lazy myself. ;) I had an Sl350 some time back and had a good time with it, alright. ;) I agree with what you are saying, I was thinking about the weight of the thing too, along with the fact that a 2 stroke usually needs very little on the bike, to make it go. Of course, I could do an SL350 out of one that is basically a roller (I've got a CL engine that will work with it.) and I could put it together with bare necessities and get by a bit lighter. :)  It IS something to consider. Maybe I should have included the SL (as a Frankenbike) as another alternative?

Thanks for the input,  Bill ;)
