« on: September 23, 2005, 05:10:53 AM »
I am a novice and want a manual to help me to mainly service the bike and do other small jobs!!
David Silver only has a Clymer manual, is this a good manual?
Cheers,
Jim.

As good as any other but not as good as Honda just Honda assumes you have a reasonable mechanical knowledge as its for a dealer workshop. I can do you a scanned copy of the original if you want one. email me direct-
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Jim,

You may want to consider the Haynes workshop manual.
This manual is easyer to understand than the Honda one, the Clymer one is OK for a back up (also has a good competition section).
Hope this is of help.
