« on: November 09, 2008, 05:09:07 PM »
Picked up a set of 750 wheels & want to put the rear on my 550. Are the bearings the same?

Probably not, but just in case, what year is the donor wheel and recipient bike?  K or F?  You can also look up the part numbers on various parts fiches to see if all suspect part numbers match.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

The 500 / 550 rear hubs use 2 wheel bearings: 1 x #6302 (15x42x13) and 1 x #6304 (20x52x15).

The 750 uses 3 bearings: 2 x #6304 (20x52x15) and 1 x #6305 (25x62x17).

rear 500 uses 1 x 6304 and 1 x 6305
rear 750 uses 2 x 6304 and 1 x 6305

front both use 2 x 6302

So yes they use the same bearings but in different quantities so the wheel spindles should be same diameter meaning from that point they should fit.

THIS IS FOR 750 WIRE WHEELS

Hey, conflicting info on the 550 rear sizes here, anyone know for sure which is which?
