GA newbie here
« on: November 09, 2008, 06:58:55 PM »
I thought I would start off by saying HI to everone here.  I recently acquired a basket case 73 CB 750.  I have already completed the tear down, and am now ready to start the rebuild.  It will have some modifications done along the way the most noticeable of all will be the conversion to a rigid tail.  It will also get a custom oil tank and possibly a custom gas tank (the tank mods all depend on time).  My brother-in-law is actually working on another 750 right beside mine ( it will also be converted to a rigid, it was his idea).  I will try to get my pictures up as soon as I can.  I only have a few so far, but I will try to get a couple more tomorrow. ;D

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Welcome from Athens, GA.  There's a member here called Kingcustomcycles, you'd probably get some inspiration from his site.  You can look him up under the members tab above and find the link to his site.  I think he sells rigid rear ends -might save you some time fabricating.  Also, you might want to check out Hondachoppers.com  Good knowledgeable folks there too, especially about problems you might run into with building a chopper.

I'm located in Gainesville GA.  Thanks for the info, I think my brother-in-law has already checked out Kingscustoms.  I think we will probably need all the help we can get, although we couldn't ask to be building them in a better place... his custom fabrication and machine shop.  I'm going to be starting a new thread later in the custom build up section, and will putting up some pictures by the end of the day.
