SteveD in 1980...
« on: March 28, 2005, 10:56:08 AM »
Thought that you may like to see this pic of me +500F in 1980.
This was the occasion of the bike's 50,000th birthday.
Note the Rickman fairing, Piper 4-1, Fiamm horns and the 550K3 seat, tank and shocks!

I posted this on Glenn's server just before he switched to this one so apologies to anyone who is suffering deja vu.

So how about posting pix of you/your bike in the 70's / 80's ?

hey doesnt that center stand affect rideability?    :D anyway, would love to put a pic of my ride from the seventies but by 1980 i was only 4 and mom woulda had a kiniption if dad had me on one by that time.  so, if you take a look at my ride and notice it's a 73 cb350f you might also realize its 3 YEARS OLDER THAN ME!

I find that when posing for these "action pictures", it helps to keep at least one of the stands down! - both in this case!

In 1980 I was 22. My girlfriend took the picture (now my wife of 24 years!)

All the way from the bottom to the top.

How did you get rid of the stand,? looks like your riding with no helmet but your hair is not blowing about.

Have you still got long hair, or are you like me, NONE ? ;D ;D ;D

I cannot lie...

Quail took my original (this thread) and "photoshopped" the stands. He also gave me longer hair but I left that one out!  The photo was taken in the driveway of my girlfriends house.

I now have short hair (slightly receding).

Sam, there's a saying over here;
"The more hair I lose, the more head I get"
I keep forgetting to ask what that means, exactly... but it's catchy.

Steve- what an intimidating look. British Dirty Harry, rather, eh? What?
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

I'm in the same boat as Heffay- My K3 is 5 years my senior. I posted this pic before. Here I am at 8 months sitting on my uncle's (that's him holding me on) CB750 K3. He still has this bike, and him asking me to get it running for him again some 20+ years later was what got me interested in these SOHC-4 beasts in the first place. So, in a way, that IS my sitting on my "first" bike....

I'm afraid it's not DOT approved, though... ;)
