Hello everyone!

I just picked up this 1975 cb750f.... and was trying to figure out which direction, what to do to it... Set on a cafe style.. not sure how agressive I'm going...

I tell you one thing...that's a long tank!!!!

I'm first looking at clubman bars..but interested in "clamp on"... not sure what I need to do with that....

Also, I'm interested in changing the seat out... but I need (I believe) to go with the longer seat...but don't know if a standard 750k seat could work....?

If you're not into the F tank style, you can find decent K tanks on ebay. If you're redoing the seat, you might as well build the bike like you want it.

Im currently doing this with my 77 CB750K.

Btw, I dig that airtech seat. Looks nice.

I am waiting for my seat to come from AIrstream. I bought the same seat pictured for my F. Takes them 3 weeks to build and deliver. I went with drag bars so far and lots of removal.

You can run the fork tubes up through the tree enough to get clip ons attached. You may need to shim them to fit but that is easy with thin metal shim stock. They clamp fine. You are pretty much stuck with cafe/street fighter on the F models due to the rear disc. Rigid, raked, and stretched can be done on an F but the fun of all that quickly dissipates.

I'd love to see the pics of how it fits on the bike... i'm curious of what to do with the part's container underneath the seat...

three things you will need, a sawsall, hacksaw , and a dremel for cuting the small stuff off. when you get to bar essentials your done.... thats what im doing with my cafe anyway. i wasnt even going to put a headlight on but i figured if i ever got caought at ngiht it would suck. my budy does stickers so no blinkers, maybe a brake light?

here in NYC turnsignals are not required on pre '83 bikes.
I am not running, any hand controls either.

Rear piece off a Kawa H2-
-clubmans
-dual front discs
-MAC 4into 1
-Dual Carb setup from Cycle-X

how much work is that 2 carb setup to install?

Easy install but
the carbs come within 1/2 inch of the frame.
No room for a proper air cleaner--I put some wire mesh over 'em
to keep out the birds !

I had them, and got rid of them. I had the pods, and they stuck way out to the side.
The reason theres so much room in that othe rpicture is because it's shown on a custom frame. Not the cb750 stock frame as well.
Dont get me wrong, the setup itself was very high quality, but I had too many problems.

I've got one of those air-tech tails on my 750F, it works well, and its just long enough to cover the frame rails. The stock tool box has to go, and you've got to build some sort of taillight bracket...

I suppose this isn't very helpful but I would change the oil, put some petrol in and ride it the way it is. Looks great to me.

It is true that the F model looks pretty dammed good as is and retain there value better when stock. Also, K models are easer to find but it's your call. I would just suggest not cutting the frame though.
That being said, If your looking for good quality Cafe parts, I have link showing a number of Items I've found. http://tinyurl.com/6amplv The current project is a CB 550 but much of it applies to the 750 as well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.
I know that cafe' is all the rage these days (and to be honest, my 500 is done up that way, too.) but it seems a shame to see one more perfectly nice original bike tarted up to look all badass.

There are plenty of hack jobs out there already, why not put some lower 'euro' or superbike bars on and just keep it the way it is?
