Dunno much about the Bridgestones so I'll have some homework to do. :D

Bill, I wonder where (or if) that record bike is now. JAP mill?

RE: the Kriedler, looking at the pix Grumpol made available I feel a mixture of admiration and humor. They look like Honda CR's left in the drier too long but on the other hand they must be a blast to ride. Nomatter, looks like I have more reading to do!

Too bad at 5'10" I'm too big for the little darlings.

honda left some of its bikes out in the ran, too:

50cc, 16hp@21,000rpm
A good bike mechanic only needs two tools, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move, but should, use the WD40. If it does move but shouldn't use the duct tape.

Mi-Val. These were built by Beretta (gun not tv show) for a while. Would like to know more!

Maserati Tipo 125 GT Super. Might paint the Honda like this some day.

Hey Bill, what about these bikes from Italia?

      Ever hear of Moto Parilla?

     http://www.parilla-na.com/250ccgs_5.htm

     http://www.parilla-na.com/175ccgs_4.htm

     http://www.parilla-na.com/250_wildcat_8.htm

Here is the site where I found these. They were another motorcycle that my Granddad had the franchise for, towards the end of the time that he had the motorcycle shop.

Wow... those links is keepers! Attractive  motorcycles to say the least. I have to thaw out right now as I've just spent about an hour trying to convince a homeless cat into a shelter made for him. Fingers freezing.

Did ya manage to get that cat in that shelter? Had to know. :(

He's gone in and checked it out a couple of times sometimes using a bit of food as "bait". So he knows it's safe but the darn thing will hang around outside when we had some snow and last night when we had high winds and looow temps. I just hope he's got somewhere good to go but at least he knows that shelter is there.

Technically it's believed he is owned by someone but they neglect him and leave him out all through the night- all the time. If I continue to find him out in the wee hours this frequently as the weather turns harsher I'll use my 'animal contacts' to see if we can find him a home. BTW: The shelter is made of two Rubber Maid storage containers, one in another, and lined with insulation. Then holes are cut for an entrance. Nifty.

But I digress... ;D

These are maybe not much in the way of technologically exotic but are a bit out of the norm. At least in these parts. Italians make attractive bikes... cars, architecture, women.

Oh, and no I never heard of Moto Parilla. Being a hick New Englander I'm fascinated by this exotic stuff. I do however miss my 550 molto bene.

OK, this is just plain odd.

Lousy picture...

I read it's a single cylinder farm engine with old Ford wheels and I think it's from, where else, Germany.

That's the unpainted version of Jesse James' Radial Hell. I believe that picture was taken at the California Concourse.

Here's more of it finished.

For a while I couldn't figure out why I both liked and disliked that bike but it's just now dawned on me; I just can't get into the McChopper look- with a very few exceptions. This bike to me is completely unremarkable except for the engine. If this engine was in something anything else that would catch my eye more. Still would love to hear it run up close though.

I liked the Tracker inspired look of bikes made for instance by those guys in Japan, Zero Choppers, or whatever their name is. But I'm growing tired now of a bike that looks like it was built on a planet with gravity twice that of ours. Again, there are exceptions.

OK, enough from negative nancy. ;D

That gearchange must be an, uh... 'interesting' skill to master. ::)

Recalling another discussion Bill, I notice the front "brake" on this one is there for symbolic purposes I gather?

I've never hear an oldie like this run; have to fix that one of these days.
