Those are "S" bars, from the R90s, or R100s. The Part number is 32 71 2 303 042...they're stupid expensive though...retail is $143...Roy is 20 minutes south of Tacoma, not too far away...
Hope this Helps!

Yup!

Me too.

I think you could probably find some super bike bars and give them a shot. I guess I should go refresh my memory on the Gentelmen's Express bars before I start saying stuff though  ;)

Hey Texan-

I was considering the very bars from that article for my CB750.  I found them here for $77.99

http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/cmn/prodlist.jsp?store=Main&catId=410&leafCatId=41020

Beware, though, BMW bars are 22mm, which is .866 inches, versus .85" for typical 7/8" bars.  In the Gentleman's express article, they used genuine BMW bars and did not mention any problems, so I think you'd be ok there.

BUT!  Beemer bars have a narrow center section (these are 4").  BMW handlebar clamps are close together.

Now further aong in the Dennis Kirk online catalog, turn with me to page:

http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/cmn/prodlist.jsp?currentOffset=20&previousPageOffset=0&nextPageOffset=40&np=&store=Main&catId=410&sort=pricedesc&leafCatId=41012&page=&limit=20&next.x=9&next.y=6

and toward the botom of this page you'll see a few almost identical bars in 7/8" with a 4.5" center.  I think these will surely fit.

I'm with you, though; when I want something specific for my bike, like these bars, nothing else will quite do.  Nothing else is quite as flat or narrow.  I tried some superbike bars, and even cut down the ends as much as possible, but I just wasn't happy with it.  These Beemer bars are the real deal from the Gentleman's express article bike.

Also, on the last page of the 4 handlebar pages in the catalog:

http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/cmn/prodlist.jsp?currentOffset=40&previousPageOffset=20&nextPageOffset=60&np=&store=Main&catId=410&sort=pricedesc&leafCatId=41012&page=&limit=20&next.x=9&next.y=10

there are some sweet R100S completely flat bars that still angle back, as well as some pretty awesome aluminum Renthal low bars.

Enjoy!
Sherm
