Ebay Problems....
« on: November 12, 2008, 11:21:07 AM »
Hey guys,
Have you ever purchased something from ebay, and for whatever reason returned it to the shipper who says they never got it?
I have to return something, but I am seeing alot of feed back saying the the seller never received the item. I already have a bad feeling because the guy said the items are new/retail, but turns out they used/oem... plus he had a Po Box address, I asked him for a physical address, and after a few emails I got it. I shipped the item certified today by UPS and emailed him the tracking number. Everything is done through Pay Pal and Ebay's email. I am really trying to cover my bases here. Am I forgetting anything? Also has anyone ever had to get any money back from Pay Pal (less than 50 bucks). Thanks. The guy sounds really "sketchy"...  (thanks heffay for my new word of the day)   ;)

nice!   ;D

you're safe w/ paypal... stay on the ball though and watch your deadlines for reporting him, if it comes to that.

you're even safe, knowing that he can't rail you in your feedback because sellers can no longer post bad feedback.

With a tracking number and confirmed address I can't see how he can claim he never got it...ofcourse I could be wrong.

yeah he already gave me good feedback, he "seems" like a good guy. 5000 feedbacks are good, 50 are bad, just so happen the bad ones have similar situations as mine.

As of now I'm just getting the silent treatment. He has the tracking number and can verify that the items will be there on the 17th.  It SHOULD be simple to refund the money through paypal. I will give him to the 20th. I hate for you guys to "hurt" him over a none motorcycle related item, so I might just drive over there (only 160 miles) and "see" him. Gas is alot cheaper now, and it would make a nice road trip.

Oh Boy!! It's starting. Well I email the tracking number through ebay's mail (the same one we have been using to communicate all this time) 2 days ago.  I figured something was up since he did not reply. Well I emailed him today to make sure we are on the same "page" about the refund, and he says he never got the email with the tracking number! I sent it back to him twice. I can already see him trying to wiggle out of this...

If we have to go through Pay Pal, would I be able to get ALL of my Money back?

Maybe send him a link to the brimmer thread as a little "shot across the bow."

that could be construed as a threat and scare tactic... i wouldn't advise it.

just sick the dogs on him and he won't know where they came from.
