This just looks like trouble, doesn't it?

Big drag!!! That bike is gonna run n a heartbeat, and would easily drag down $1500-$2000 here.

And it was a good deal - but not THAT good. It was honestly a charity case for me.

In Montana that bike is worth about $1500 complete and in good running condition.

So even $300 was a bit of a stretch. Tires were dry rotted, no air box, tank was rusted pretty badly - likely pinholes, etc. etc. etc. None of it a deal breaker - but you start adding that s^%$ up and you're to $1500 in flash even without any surprises (and they're ALWAYS surprises!)  :'(

But it would have been a cool project - no doubt. That said, I like riding them WAY more than I like working on them. There will be other, better projects - they come up here all the time.  ;)

What I really want is an early 750 ...

I know how it is tho, looking from Vancouver, B.C.; or Seattle, or Cali, or wherever - you see these bikes out here and think, daaaaamn!! I used to do the same thing  :D

And it is great - BUT, to bring some reality, I'm also marooned in the middle of the arid great plains and it's 10 hours to the closest city - 14 hours to the west coast. It's beautiful country, and I love my home - but, I would swap you a whole garage full of vintage bikes for a good job and small apartment in downtown Vancouver.   :-\

Ha ha! Definitely not a bad thing ... especially not that MILF!

But you do know what the big difference is between a girlfriend and a wife, don't you?!

It's about about 100 pounds.  ;D

OK guys come on own up! >:(
Who let this guy do all the ground work then stole it from under him! ;D
Ah well it just goes to prove that they are still out there waiting for us to breath life into them, my bet is we have a new forum member shortly asking all sorts of wierd questions about 72 CB500's ha ha ha.
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

No no you wouldn't if you were here now, Vancouver is a #$%* hole now. Highest cost of living in north america almost, people are elitist and not friendly crackheads everywhere. If you can afford to get into the housing market that's been driven sky high by foreign investment, a shoebox 300sq ft condo downtown starts at 350G's. I can't wait to light a match and walk away from the lower mainland, the only thing that's good about the place is riding is fantastic for most of the year and I'm busy as hell with work.

There are lots of milf's, no lack of eye candy :)

I don't hate the place, it's a beautiful city in the nature dept. I can just think of better places in BC to live, couple more years and I'll be out!

This same thing happened during the last two weeks on here. The guy was talking about the bike long enough that someone bought it out from under them.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

I visited Vancouver a couple years ago with a bro and was SHOCKED at all of the beautiful women ... My head was on a swivel the whole time I was there.  ;D

One of the locals later told me that Vancouver is kinda the 'Hollywood' of Canada - full of aspiring models, actresses, etc. Incredible scenery there - and the mountains and harbor weren't too bad either  ;)
