Will the CB550 supersport seat fit on a CB550K?

I just bought a 1975 Honda CB550 K, which I love.  It came with an extra gas tank, a Super sport with nice orange flake finish.  The tank fits great as a replacement for the old tank (old tank needs to be repainted) but of course it interferes with the seat.

So I wondered if I find all I need to do is find a supersport seat, or if there will be additional modifications.

Great forum, I have been reading all the stuff here, gonna take some time to read it all, but great great information.

The SS seat will fit, might have to use the SS grab bar, too.

i am having the same issue with my 750k but can't give up the seat. i like the slim look of the tank but don't like the
super sport seat. been trying to figure out how to make them both fit.

i had a 78 550k and tried to run a grab bar with the stock seat and wouldn't fit, the seat is longer and taller :(
i have a  super sport seat if you're interested. it will need recovered.

Yes interested, what year? I just missed one on ebay went for $26.
