Four into Four Sources
« on: November 17, 2008, 01:23:50 PM »
I am looking to do an old CR style of some sort exhaust on my '75 550F.

Is anyone making complete four into four exhaust like this?

Swarbrick, any others? Does Hansen or M3 do this stuff?

Other custom exhaust builders?

CB exhausts are getting thin. BTW I have a new Mac now, not really what I'm looking for.

Thanks.  :)

My buddy over at fullerhotrods.com  has just got the CB bug...  Custom exhaust is one of his specialities.
Not sure what he'd charge, but if you are near Atlanta, you might want to look him up.  He can build anything.
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

If you could have him design a few slick 4:4 setups that he can produce easily with good quality, and good fit....they'll probably sell.  Especially if the pricing is competitive with the commercially available stuff, I'd love a Blacked out 4:4 that allows easy rear wheel removal....

It wouldn't be surprising if he starts selling those sometime in the not so distant future.  He's a member here, and has a good independent vision of what any bike can become, given the right care.  Personally I think he's building quite the catalog, a very Arlen Ness or Mick Jagger-like move to say the least.

But YES! pipes like that, that run the header under the bike and out the sides to the mufflers, it would have to retain oil filter access to a stock filter housing, and retain drain plug access, as well as mount to the passenger peg mounts and leave plenty of room to pull the rear axle. Oh removeable repackable baffles would be a nice touch for tuneability too.

I can see the price growing.....

I e-mailed Benji about those pipes. He says that he has gotten a lot of responces about those since he posted them on this site. They can be purchased from him since almost everything they do is built from scratch. I won't post the price as I will leave that to his business discression, but it was more than I wanted to pay...  :'( ... so I'm saving up.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Well seeing that his Peashooter pipes which are stainless go for what $899?  One could guestimate a high price.
