Hello from MA, 73' CB750
« on: November 02, 2008, 04:26:10 PM »
So I have been luking here for alittle over a month,  I bought a 73' CB750 alittle over a month ago that was part of a Ebay auction consisting of my bike, a complete disassembled bike, two other engines (one 836cc), five wheels and a pallet full of parts.
I split the auction with a co-worker and kept the complete running bike a 73' CB 750 w/around 25K, 16" rear wheel, dyna ignition, drilled front rotor, K&N filter.

Of course the bike has required more repairs than what I thought I was getting into, but after taking the carbs apart twice, installing a new chain, and curing a sticking front caliper the bike is running pretty well other than a inconsistent idle.

I met someone (Paul?) @ Motomarket in acton a few weeks back on a blue CB400 leaving for a ride to Wachusett mountain, nice to see another older bike up @ Motomarket.  Justed wanted to say hello and thanks to everyone for a great site. :)

That would be Peter - he is also a Forum member here. About 10 of us were leaving MotoMkt for Wachussetts mtn that day. Too bad we missed you. We also have a local forum where we organise rides, beer nights etc....see here:

http://nehondaguys.info/forums/index.php

We also swap parts etc etc....so if you need anything let us know and you never know you might get lucky.

We had a ride yesterday to Castle Gillette, CT - nice and sunny 220 mile round trip. I have two CB750s..a CB750 K4 and K2 and live in Boston, MA. The rest of the guys live around Boston - Norwood, Ashland, Natick, Haverhill, Gloucester, R.I. etc...

Nice looking bike!

cheers
Andy

Andy, I must have been thinking of Paul the owner @ Motomarket.  Thanks for the compliments on the bike, although I have a feeling the photos make it look better than it is. :-\

Welcome!  I was one of the locals at MotoMkt for Wachussetts mtn  ride that day, sorry I missed meeting you, I was on the black Nighthawk, but next year I'll be on my completed 750K3

Thanks for refreshing my memory of what an assembled K3 looks like.....nice ride.

I wish I had more time to stick around that day @ MotoMkt but, my friend on the SV only had a small window to ride that day.  Next time. ;D
