Rear disk brake mount point on swingarm, on top or bottom?

I'm putting a 16" rear rim with a disk brake on it onto my '82 cb650.
The cb650's swingarm mount point for the bar that goes to the stock drum brake is on the bottom.
The donor bikes stock mount point for the bar that goes to the rear disk hangar is on the top.
Other than the added difficulty bleeding the brakes, is there a difference where the mount point on the swingarm is located for a disk brake setup?
BTW, donor bike is a '85ninja600

If you put the caliper under instead of on top not only will it be a swine to bleed but it will also fill up with crap quicker and sieze sooner

to bleed it,temporarily put caliper on top, then mount back on the bottom.to prevent gunk, clean out the caliper, brake line and master cylinder and run dot 5 fluid.been running like that on my panhead for 15 years,no issues.

Nice...
Why DOT5?
Personal preference, or is there a specific reason?
