Anyone look into changing their exhaust from a side pipe to one that is found under the body of the bike, like the buell or the Ducati superbike?

Thought about it a while back, seems it wouldn't be too tough to fab up a muffler to mount down under the frame, maybe angled outlets left and right.... baffled as desired.

You'd have to make it easily removable for proposes of oil changes. I like the concept, though.

I agree with KB02, one of my good friends rides a 76 KZ400.  The PO installes a Kerker and it goes under the bike making it impossible to change oil without taking it all off.  He is in the process of tracking down some factory pipes as we speak since it is getting colder here and he is riding less.

AGH! I have been visualizing a under-belly set-up for my new project.  I want to keep it low-key and unique.  Seems like a good way to me...  I'm sure you'll see more of it from me come late winter/spring when I have the time to get cracking on it ;)
