Yeah, the price is a bit much, but the bike is quite a sought after item, in itself.

Wouldn't that particular bike (if for sale) bring $4000 or so?? If so... half for the tank?? even brand new tanks don't cost that much. Let alone one off of a 48 Harley.

Actually, when they do come up for sale, the price is quite high (even though I don't remember what kind of price that would be, it is Awesome)!
They don't get put up for sale very often and have been quite an item since they were first made. I tried to see about getting one when I was stationed in Japan in the Air Force in 67'-69' and they were sky high even back then.
