New Toy / 78 750F Seat needed
« on: February 24, 2009, 08:49:57 AM »
So picked up another bike last weekend. 78 750f, bought it from the original owner with 5,500 miles on it. Just needed some fresh gas and a battery and it started right up. Now just need to rebuild all the frozen brake calipers. Anyone have a stock seat they want to sell me so I can ditch the King/Queen seat? Or anyone know a good source for this? Thanks!

I have a stock seat that I re-covered last year so no rips and comfy.  It is not stock black but it is kind of a metallic black.  I'd take $125+ shipping for it. I don't know what they are worth but that's what I want.  I hope that's reasonable.  I can send pics if you want.

Yeah, clubman bars are on the way. Thanks for the link upperlake, I was hoping to find something stateside to save on shipping. 78ss, can you go ahead and send me a pic, I can get a new seat for the same price but shipping will cost more from the UK...

You can get a new seat on EBay. Probably/maybe a reproduction. ~ $250. They look good.

Now to solve your problem, if you can come up with a NEW seat for my 75/76 750F I will trade you my NEW seat for a 77/78 750F. The differences are the actual pattern on the cover AND the color of the side trim pieces. The NEW seat I have has black trim pieces and I'd take either orange or blue trim. Matter of fact I'd like to find 1 set of both since I have both color tanks and tail pieces.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
