CB550 stroker?
« on: November 19, 2008, 07:46:01 PM »
Howdy.

In the various CB550/CB650 interchangeability threads I've seen that the CB650 crank will fit in the CB550 bottom end. Has anyone done this? I'm doing a rebuild this winter, and I'm going to 61mm pistons, but I was thinking about also stroking the engine with a 650 crank. Any success/failure stories? And would I need to change the oil pan, or will the crank fit with the current bottom end?

Thanks.
