CR750 Tank ............need some ideas
« on: November 21, 2008, 05:59:47 AM »
I just got an aluminum CR750 Tank ( Sold threw Yoshimura back in the early 70s)

Does anyone have pictures of where they relocated the electrics and the battery

and still keep it located near the original location?

Or is it time to just start cutting and fitting?

any ideas greatly appreciated (Thanks Steve for yours)

thanks Guys

Mike: going to ship the intake boots today

Jim,

The CR750s didn't have much electrics to speak of.  No lights, blikers, horn, or starter.  Some of them used a magneto that was added-on so they didn't even need a battery.  What little electrics there were, were under the tank.

Got a pic of your tank?  I'd love to see it, as you know, I'm planning a CR750 replica of sorts, too!

Ive got 3 seats plus the Dunstall but they just dont look right with the tank

Stick a small battery under the swingarm, I assume it will be kickstart?..or?

Anyway, I am of the thought that one of the heaviest pieces on the bike should be down low to have less affect on center of gravity..
