Blinker light bulb part #'s
« on: September 27, 2005, 01:33:15 PM »
Does anyone know the common automotive part number for the turn
signal bulbs used in the early 750's.  I bought one that works but it draws
more current then the original ones and hence causes the blinkers to flash
too fast.

Yes, I know I can replace one on the other side and match them but I had
rather retain the original blink rate....call me anal.   ;D

I believe the number is 1157 for the dual filament, and 1156 for the single filament, for front and rear.

1034 and 1073 were the stock bulbs.

1157 ad 1156 are the higher wattage commonly stocked replacements theat don't work well with the stock flasher unit.

If you have trouble finding the lower wattage bulbs, you could always replace your flasher unit with one of the newer style that flashes at the same rate regardless of bulb wattage or voltage output from the charging system.
