Megacycle hardwelded cams

Anyone have experience with a Megacycle hardwelded cam? Is it ok to run it with stock rocker arms, or will I need hardwelded or otherwise treated rocker arms as well?

 I have used both Megacycle and Web hardwelded cams. The only problem I've encountered is a reduced base circle which can cause a problem with shim/bucket arrangements (if you are near the end of the thick shim range to begin with). I would use used rocker arms but they would have to be in excellent condition. New rockers or, better yet, hardwelded would be the most desireable set up. The hardwelded Megacycle rockers are real nice but very expensive.

So would a re-grind cam be better with stock rockers then?

You are absolutly correct...... I just consider those cams mild. ;) If you want something in a .375 or .400 lift  you need to hardweld. The Megacycle 125-65 and 125-75 are my all time favorites (especially the 75).

Webcam's price is $164, seems like a better deal than Megacycle.

$164 is for a re-grind, not the hardwelded cam, the hardwelded is $322.00.
I am a Webcam dealer and can get a better price for you if that's the route you want to go.

What would be a good cam for an 836 with a mild ported head and 4 into 1? Cafe type riding. No heavy loads.
