Derby Green Metallic
« on: November 30, 2008, 12:20:52 PM »
Is this it?

I am toying with the idea of paining my 350 twin and the colors for 71 were derby green, candy gold, and light ruby red.

Beautiful!  My older brother had a '71 that color back in the early 80s when we were in high school.  Other brother has the red '71.  I owned a gold '73.  Neat.

Yeah, I am really digging it too. Hopefully I hear back from the owner if its original or not.

Here is the link to his site, just stumbled upon it thru an ebay auction I found, but its got great hi resolution photos:

Sort of looks like Sherwood Green Metallic; a GM color from the 60's.

Love the offerings from Dr. Olds! Very cool and enough torque to alter Earth's rotation.

Like that green on the twin too. If's it's OEM all the better.

Isn't that a Buick GS?  Looks like a GS badge on the fender.  Olds' hot-rod A-body was the Cutlass 4-4-2.

Mine was a Pontiac LeMans Convertible.  Too bad it wasn't a GTO!

You're right. Mixed them up. GS is Buick, Olds...442. Geez.

I'd love to have either. A buddy had a'65 442 rag top, another had a '67 GTO, and another yet has a GS but don't remember the year. That last one was well modified too. Nice LeMans!

Sorry, back to HONDAS. :D
