1973 cb750 836 conversion JET SIZE???
« on: September 25, 2005, 06:01:08 AM »
Hello friends! My bike project has come along quite well, with the exception of running way too rich. My set-up is as follows: 836cc conv, polished,  the main jets on the carbs at this time are 140, MAC 4-2 Megaphone. I would likje to run the stock air filter setup to keep the bike looking original. I do have Pod air filters and have tried running the bike with these as well. My honda manual list 120 as the main JET size. Can any of you give me some set-ups that you have used with sucsess...Thank You so much for your on going help and input.

I'd guess at 120/125 main. Because you are pulling more volume through the same size venturi you will actually be creating more vacuum on the main jet; sucking up more juice, It should be running rich with a 140 jet.
