I saw a guy drop his monster sportbike at a red light a few nights ago.   Came up on it like a bat outta hell and then did a hard stop 'cause he realized he was gonna run it and get crunched.   Stayed vertical for about 1 1/2 seconds, then, down he went.   I thought he might have fallen asleep, then I realized he was way too short for the bike.  Both feet couldn't touch the ground.   I guess he was still a little shaken from his near impact experience to remember how to not fall over at a stop light  :P

It was quite the comic interlude while I was waiting across the intersection to watch him try to lift it back up.   Reminded me of one of those dung beetles that build a huge ball of poo and then tries to roll it everywhere to get a mate ;D ;D
The only thing I miss about the South is Waffle House!

drop #1.
was loading my 750 cafe  into my honda element (yes i can fit 10 lbs of sh!t into a 5 lb bag. ) as  the front wheel entered the element the end of my header knocked my 2x 8 off the tailgate. i was on the driverside holding the bars and it started to fall to the passenger side.  all i could do was yell, " NNNOOOOOOO!!!!!".  Luckily it went over into the bush next to my garage.  the only thing damaged was the bush.    now i just need one of those ramps made for a tailgate.
...and a new bush.

drop # 2.
i dropped my old 450 once outside the bar. i had just kick-started it and got off to let it warm up a bit. too bad i forgot that i had put the kickstand up.  i felt like such a dumb-ass.
don't take me too seriously.

I already posted my shameful moment in this thread, and thankfully this one was not mine. My wife has taken to riding my cb650c, she just got her learners permit last week, same day she got her permit we went for a short ride to the store. She did great there and back, but when we got home my son had left a folding chair in the driveway, she paniced and forgot to put her feet down when she stopped (lol).  after I picked it back up for her and turned back to my bike, guess what. That's right she dropped it on the other side. That's twice within five minutes. Fortunatly she wasn't hurt (other than her pride) and the bike didn't suffer anything more than a couple bent up mirrors.
1980 cb650c first bike i owned now the wife's ride.           1982 xv920j virago, bike i learned to ride on rescued it from a 13 year coma (sitting in the shed) now she runs beautifully and rides like a dream.

The first time I dropped it was the first time I rode the bike.  It was the day after my MSF course and I was doing all of the practices in an empty parking lot to get used to how my bike handled and what not.  Anyway, I was practicing hard braking and forgot to pull the clutch in.  Engine dies, I get surprised, and the bike starts to tip.  It drops and gas is pouring out the carbs.  I turned the gas off, heaved it back up, and kept practicing.

The second time was maybe a week later.  My apt. had a single stall garage that I kept the bike in.  The problem was that the driveway was incredibly steep (15 or 20 degrees) with a flat bit about 3 feet wide at the top.  I wanted to back my bike into the garage so that I could just ride it out, so I start trying to do a 17 point turn on this 3 foot wide patch of flat concrete.  The front tire gets off the flat bit, and I couldn't pull it back up, so I let it slowly tip into the front bumper of my car.  I went upstairs and got my roommate to help me put it back in the garage.

Pushing my bike up that driveway when the main fuse blew was horrible.  Having to do it twice was a nightmare.  It felt like my heart was going to explode.
