Blatant shameless pimping
« on: November 28, 2008, 08:07:34 AM »
So I got a copy of Cafe Racer magazine in the mail the other day.

I was approached by them a few months ago about the possibility of doing a CB 750 Cafe project and writing an article about the process.  That deal fell through when publisher Mike Seate decided he wanted to do the job himself.  While I was bummed out about that I was also relieved since I already have enough projects that I'm not taking care of.

Mike asked me if I'd be interested in doing a sidebar to the article on performance upgrades for CB 750 Hondas.  I happily agreed.  My article is in the current issue.  This is the first time I've had my demeted scrawling appear in an actual print magazine so I'm pretty jazzed about it.  I hope to do some stuff for Cafe Racer in the future, most likely about my planned 2009 racing in AHRMA's Historic Production class.

Issue #2 of Cafe Racer Magazine is available now from the website.  $5.50 shipped to your door and they take PayPal.

Congrats!!  I'll have to get a copy ordered, this is the first I've heard about it.  It must be an alright mag if they'll let Honda/ADVrider guys contribute ;)

Congratulations on your first sale, Bob. The first time you see your byline in print is very special. It's even more special if you get paid for it. I sold my first story in 1978. I remember it vividly. Far more so than any that have come after.

They even let those ChiVinMoto weirdos in.  And I'm not even a rocker.

Buncha dorks.  Never go anywhere, never do anything.
