550 carb rod clip height
« on: November 29, 2008, 02:40:20 PM »
Hi, I looked and didn't have any luck in the archives. What is the stock height on the clip on the metering rod? Mine are set on the second from the bottom. I think I read at one time it is set on #3 but I want to be sure. Thanks, Tattoo

I've looked over the net and this sight and no where did I find the answer to my Question. Several people have asked and no one got an answer but leave like it is and change the jets. So I guess no one knows what the stock setting was? But I'm giving up. Tattoo

Hi, Thanks all. I finally found that but it doesn't make much since as it doesn't tell you from the top or the bottom. That is very important I would think? Tattoo

The numbers come out of the Honda manual.  The clip positions are counted from the top (non-pointy end).
