I have a chance to buy three CB350 Fours. Two complete and running machines with excellent skins. No damage. And one with painted skins and no carbs. Plus some extra parts such as new forks, pipes, books, tool kits etc. The whole bundle for $2200.00. The bikes have original titles. Is this a good deal? Also just saw a 1971 CB350 Twin in a shop window, all original The pipes were there but rusted out mufflers. No price, will check later. Green in color. Skins looked real good just needed a little cleaning. I have been doing a lot of surfing on these CB350 Fours and they seem to be the collectors item. But everyone seems to like the Twin for its low end torque and get up and go. Would you pass on the CB350 Fours? Thanks Ron

Three bikes with titles for $2200 works out to around $733 each. Not too bad, especially if the two complete ones are in good shape, and that doesn't factor in the spares. Personally I'd go for the fours, but I will say that 350 twins can be fun.

What does your gut tell you?

i think you just haven't been on our "fours" site long enough to understand our undying love for these bikes... i would much rather have the rarer breed than not. i also don't like the sound of the twin.

scoop up what you want but i definitely recommend a 350 four!

Forgot to mention the Mileage, 1: 33,000, (without carbs - improved gas mileage) 2: 13,000, 3: 5,900. First bike has 4-2 exhaust, second has 4-1, and the third has some funky cross over arrangement. What I can remember; port 2-3 go to the one side, and 1-4 go to the the other side. He has another set of these crossover pipes (reversed sides of bike). Also some brand new MAC 4-1 pipes. (black headers with chrome exhaust). This is fun! I'll just buy everything and claim bankruptcy!

Hey, I bought three CB350F's a while back, and my hands haven't been clean since.

They are awesome bikes, a little intricate, but worth it. Plus, next to a 350 twin, they hum....

More wrong info. I didn't get Three CB350F's I got Three and 1/2 CB350F's. The fourth having a new powdered coated frame and a rebuilt motor with 6000 miles, minus carbs, and a few bits here and there. He did find Carbs for the Third bike. So now I have three complete and running bikes and one bike for those much needed spare parts. Also got a new airbox, rings, fork seals, NOS fork nuts, and an original exhaust that is need of some minor repair. A lot of NOS stuff. I am pretty excited being this was going to be a one bike buy that turned into a 3 and 1/2 bike thing. I'll post pics after Wednesday when I pick them up. I need a bigger Garage!

Rarbour and Jheart, aren't you lucky?! I just found that article on how to transform two 350F's in a supersmooth 700cc V8. Soon you will blow us all away. Minor detail: text is in Dutch, but that's nothing compared to the job that follows.

Well got the bikes today. Cleaning them up. Two good runners and one unknown. The other is 50% there. Squeezed one in the dining room so I could spend the winter cleaning her up. Tanks are in excellent shape cleaned up well. As soon as charge my camera I should be able to send pics.

As you can see in the photos. I'm working on the cleaning process. When I cleaned the triple tree some on the paint chipped/fell off! On this bike I also have to replace a broken mirror bracket on the clutch side. Need to add a chain. The chrome is almost perfect. You can see where I did do some cleaning. The seats are like brand new. This is one of the runners. The other runner looks just as good. Thats where the green tank came from. The third has a black/blue tank with a dent in the left side. Right on the Honda emblem. Hope to fix it. Haven't started that one yet. Next summer! Ron

Ran compression test (cold) on motor. Cylinder#1 135 psi, #2 130 psi, #3 130 psi, #4 140 psi. All cylinders #1 kick = 60 psi, #2 kick = 90 psi, then kicked until max reading. Are these readings about right?

I remember falling in love with my 350's Candy Bachus Olive, only to discover the Black paint scheme, and then the Silver tanks!

You should really test compression on the electric starter, with the kill switch off and the throttle wide open.

Those readings look OK - and pretty even.

That is such a sweet deal mate, I nearly paid $2k just for one CB350/4 and it needed heaps of work, the spares you can trade and make a profit on as people always looking for bits.

SteveD curious as to why I should do the compression test on the electric starter? How different do you recken this would be compared to the kick start method? Again I'm curious!
