Oil Cooler - Free To a Good Home
« on: November 26, 2008, 09:32:14 PM »
Guys, I'm cleaning house. I've put a few things on Ebay under my seller name "Carolinaburt", but here is an item that will be free to a good home. It is the oil cooler off of my CB750 K4. This cooler is like new and in perfect shape. It comes with my hand-shaped brackets on it to boot!

I need to know that you have need of one and will use it. This is not for resale and as a courtesy to me and others who would use it - I ask that the new owner post a photo showing it's use. If you can't or are unwilling to do that, then please resist the temptation to take something just because it's free. I would like that this go to someone who can and will use it.

You will have to cover shipping, but that's less than $10. Drop me a PM or post here. I'm including a pic of this one installed.

Regards,
Gordon

That's a nice looking Cooler Gordon, I've got a couple in my garage just like it! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Guys, Kyle will get this one. He was the first to respond and I know he'll put it to good use. I just sent him a frame kit a few weeks back, so I know he is serious about engine work. The cooler will find a good home there.

Thanks for the interest.

Yes, Terry in Austrailia on this board (posted above) has them. He can send you the cooler, the lines, and the adapter. He sold me mine. I still use his adapter.

Hey, Terry, is anybody still making thermostats for these oil coolers?  RR

I was put on Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Now I'm so far behind, I'll never die!

G'Day Ricky, yeah mate, I've got a couple of nice Lockhart in line thermostatic bypass valves in my garage, (doesn't really get cold enough here on Oz to need one) a quick internet search didn't turn any up, but the ones in the pic below are available for $75.00, and I know that Jagg is good quality. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Hi Terry,

Still have these coolers? Can you PM me a price?

thanks mate.

Well I might have to buy Gordon a beer Rob, so far Kyle's inquired  about an adapter, and Don has purchased a complete kit, I thought it was winter everywhere but in Oz? (Don't hate me, it's actually cold and raining outside as I type this................)

Anyway, yeah mate, I can do a kit for you, the price is $149.00 US plus $25.00 airmail to the US, or $30.00 to Europe and the UK. Let me know if you want one Rob, I think I've got one cooler radiator left. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Hi Terry,

Thanks mate, but I would only need the radiator. I make my own adaptors and often use Setrab coolers, but like your radiator more. ;) Do you sell just the radiator?

Cheers, Rob

Lockhart makes an inline thermostat for oil cooler applications. . . .
Terry, still waiting for you to incorporate a thermostat into your adapter plate!  Here in DC its hotter than hell in summer and quite cold in the winter.

Once i get my 750F home i def want one to throw in with the new K engine. Im guessing your adapter also converts the set up to a spin on filter correct?
