I don't really know, it's just the way I've always seen it done.
I guess that with the kicker, it'll just take a lot longer to reach the stable reading.
Did you have the throttle wide open?

Sure do. Electric Most of my bikes don't have electric start so I use kick most often. I'm sure the end result is what matters. So I'm just looking for others who have the same bike to tell me if they got similar readings when cold.
