quick question -- will a 75 cb750F tank fit my 78 cb750F?

just curious, i have a chance to pick up a 75F parts bike.  the tank part numbers are not the same as my bike, but thinking it might fit anyway. thanks in advance,

 The fuel petcockes are different. If I remember correctly the early petcock hits the F3 carbs and the F3 petcock will not thread onto the early F tank.

I second the info on the petcocks.  You can get the later petcock to work but it has to be positioned 90 degrees to the frame and then it's a pain to shut on and off.  Not ideal but it will work.

Just to clarify the F/F1 has a ~19mm thread and the F2/F3 has a ~16mm thread for the petcock. The petcocks are therfore different.
I have a F2/F3 tank on my F1 and the tubing run is not ideal, but I have been riding it for 8 years as is.
