Topic: Which kit from Retrobikes?

I have a '73 CB500 and I'm confused about which carburetor kit(s) work. Retrobikes lists two kits, KH-0046 and KH-1050N, on their page but only the latter specifies '71-'73 cb500 and the former does not list a year. I ordered the KH-1050N kits to be safe but I'm wondering if I could have saved myself $24.

Please be more specific....what are you working on, and what is the problem.  Carbs?  exhaust?

Well, my way of thinking is....better safe than sorry.  Yeah, you might have saved a buck or two, but if it was the wrong stuff, then you have the hassle of trying to do a return....get the right parts.....and could take weeks.

In short....it's water under the bridge now.....move on, and get the ride running.

At $24.00 savings, did you order just one kit? Thats usually the price for one kit/one carb. Most sohc4 carb kits are individual. If you end up with kits you don't need, just post them in the classifieds, somene here could use them.

take a look at our KH-0046 kit...It is supposed to fit your year

Retro Bikes is great, I ordered many times from them when building my 66 CB77.  I also just orders a petcock kit for the 73 CB500 from Retro Bikes a few weeks ago.  They ship fast, great service!  I didn't realize they had carb kits or I would have orderd from them.
