Hi guys, new to the forum...have a '77 550K...from VA

Hi guys,

I have just joined and am impressed with the wealth of knowledge in these forums.  The bike I purchased for 250.00 as a parts bike, and then gave it a complete tear down and I'm in the process of rebuilding it.  It was rusty and incomplete and hadn't been on the road since 1986.   It's complete and running now, with many new parts and a repainted frame, but I still have exhaust, a front brake rebuild, and a new seat to locate, then it's done.  She runs right now, and I can ride her, but I don't feel comfortable yet out on the main roads.  I've always wanted one of these bikes, and to finally have one feels unreal.  They're so reliable and dependable.  I hope to be able to gain some more and I have some to offer as well to these forums.

Sincerely,

Erik

whats up eric?!
welcome to the forum. i'm pretty new here too. i can tell you 2 things.   1st- the forum rules!
and second...take your time with getting comfy on your bike.
be real careful on all the roads, not just the main ones. all it takes is one person to not pay attention for one second and you done.
to tell you the truth, i feel better on the highway.   less cross traffic!
anyway, i'm done preachin' for now.
welcome again dude.  later.
don't take me too seriously.
