Anubis Cycle - Out of Business?

Anyone heard of this?  I shipped my rotor to them to be drilled and it was returned marked "out of business".

Their website is still up.

Anyone have a suggestion on where to get my rotor drilled?

I got an email from Thomas that he recieved my rotor and was drilling it Friday (12-5)

I know for a while there he was shut down but not sure what the deal is now. I thought Tom was in the process of getting it all straightened out but I haven't heard anything in quite some time.

Spikeybike was kind enough to drill my 2nd. I had sent my first to anubis; he matched it perfectly.

Do it your self, I had a Pdf in the main website with three different kinds of patterns, I suggest getting GOOD bits(for stainless) because the rotor is HARD. I started with 1/8" (3mm) bit and stepped up to 3/16" (4.78mm). Then I used a GOOD countersink.

dumb question... but what size paper did this need to be printed on...?   I tried to plot it...but I couldn't get the size to come out right...

ElCheapo hasn't posted on here for over a year.

i'm not going to offer my suggestion because if i can't say anything nice then i may as well not say anything at all.  i will say this though, i doubt that his divorce had as much to do w/ his failing business as he would like to pawn off.

it's not a them... it is ElCheapo... a member on this forum that started his business in 06 or 07 and has been failing at it ever since.

Yes it was sad, we saw his home foreclousure, etc. I am thinking about getting my rotor drilled. Now I have to find a place.

dumb question... but what size paper did this need to be printed on...?   I tried to plot it...but I couldn't get the size to come out right...

You might have to clip into two pieces and print it out on two separate sheets of paper then tape them back together, measure the O.D. of the rotor to make sure you its all good. Or take it to the nearest copy shop and have them print it out on a large sheet of paper. It should be to the right size, I will go back and check to make sure its all ok.
I could make plastic templates and ship them to you for a small fee, I warn you though that I can only do this in small ammounts (10 rotors at least at a time).
If I could make mass quantities of these to ship out to everyone I planned on donating all the proceeds to the forum after shipping costs are covered, anyone interested?

I think my bikes are still on his site  ::).
Tom had huge ideas which never came to be.
Weather it be bad luck, or poor management. I ordered a "custom" gauge face and it peeled within two weeks, I ordered a exhaust and it was the wrong one, I had him drill a CB450 rotor and some of the holes were touching/open, etc..

WHat i have read is that certain alloys will crack if too aggresively drilled. What alloy(s) were used over the 9 year production is anyones guess.

I am waiting on measurments from a member here Tygrant, he has a 550 and was gonna give me O.D. and I.D. of the 550's rotor size. Are they the same as the 500? If anyone can give me some numbers I can get started making changes and make a new PDF for the 500 rotors. As to the second question all that I have seen here is good things of these rotors, and I have seen some that were drilled with huge holes in them and no cracking. Mine don't have huge holes because I wasn't that worried about shaving any weight off this sled of mine. ;) I just wanted to improve on the braking. On that note too with the pattern I have laid out you will be limited to the size of hole you can do, I would say 1/4" to 5/16" max on hole size........

I like Franklin and I though it witty. The girl and the quote could be seen as my duality, but that would be too deep.
I started the Babe thread as a goof, and people ask about the Avatars and ask me when I am changing it. OK, the Babe thread is huge and most people like it, and it is now expected of me to have a sexy chick in there. This is not a problem.

Here is my problem and it has been bothering me. I think people don't take me seriously. They think I am about T&A. I actually own and ride a 78 CB750K which I brought back to life after it sat for 25 years. I respond to peoples technical questions as often as I post as set of minimally covered DDs.

I sometimes need help and I post a question, I get very few responses. I have a problem now
and I need help approaching it. I get 3 responses. Sometimes, I wonder if I should get a gmail account and register another name to ask serious questions. That way Bobbyr can handle the T&A which is fun, and my alias can do the tech stuff.
Sorry for the rant, it has just been bugging me a bit. Have no fear, the T&A will not stop, it is a challenge to find images that fit the rules, I love challenges. I like boobs too.

Bobby, I am willing to bet that it has more to do with the fact that you are posting about a 78K....these guys just can't get past their jealousy of the pinnacle of the Honda SOHC! I would think people would be lining up to help out the guy who has so selflessly helped us out  ;)

Actually to be honest I hadn't seen any posts where you were looking for help off the top of my head...care to point me in the right direction? (not that I am saying I could actually lend any real assistance!)

Given what an enigma Ben Franklin was, and that his contemporaries often admired him at arm's length (they really didn't know what to do with him), I guess you chose a good role model!  Actually, I like your first answer.  It would have suited Franklin.  A complex man to be sure!  At least for us boring, monochromatic types...  ;)
