I know that one personally - I don't read them unless I get myself in trouble.

Ok I got the size from the other thread that I posted a link to, and it was 10.904", so 10-7/8"(10.875) is close enough.  Heffay I forgot to mention that lower grade stainless will rust, just not that much. I did get a chance to make a version like the one I did with the sprial hole pattern for a 550, it is 10.904" in dia. Here ya go......
I claim no responsibility for your rotors.(waiver :P )

HEY GOON,

i used your pattern and it came out da ballz. check the little drill press the gf got me for xmas. the little lasers are actualy really cool and help out when drilling alot of holes. i put a light chamfer on the edges and lightly hand sanded them. Thanks again bro

A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!  8) Glad to see that it worked out for you, man I need a drill press.......
Now you just need some black or red caliper paint for the center of the disc. ;)
I was thinkin about starting a new thread for this, the patterns and misc. pics for all to see, and to end this thread because Anubis cycle is not out of business and sounds like the man is coming along fine.

Those days were unhappy ones here on the forum Dennis. I hope Heffay is only away on a holiday.

It has been worse. Remember the political stuff? Really, unless I missed something, that was worse than anything that happened on the forum before, except maybe silicondoc.

I think heffay took it too personal and just could not let it go. Pretty sad when tom had been gone over a year and when he came back hef dredged it all back up. If that is the case, hef brought this on himself unfortunately. It would have been better to just sit back and not say anything or even read the thread at all. So far, tom has not caused trouble and has only defended himself. I hope hef comes back and him and tom just steer clear of each other. :-\

Oh I agree...they both add value to the forums. Although I gotta say that if can't get along with someone then you should atleast be able to avoid them. I mean we are talking about an online forum here. This isn't exactly like a school bullying incident where you have to see that person everyday and can't avoid them.

I would love to see everyone kiss and make-up on here but somehow I can't see it happening...too much water under the bridge maybe?

Hey I only borrowed that money mate, and I'll pay it back on Thursday, OK? Anyway, you need lunch like I need alcohol, ha ha! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

all right... cheapo... you're right... you are a perfect businessman and a well adjusted chap.

i did take it too personally... perhaps that is due to all of the posts i had to read and destroy while a mod (most of you never even came close to having the privilege of reading such vehement tongue lashings) ... i'll never forget those.

also, anyone telling me to not read a post is deluded... anyone w/ a post count over 4k should understand that i've read nearly every thread on this entire forum and i'm not gonna stop now.

from now on, i'm gonna try to stick to my video and photo threads and steer clear of politics especially.

anyway, i'm back... and i'll stay away from cheapo as the forum requests.

Welcome back Geoff.

You're right of course. Any old timer on here has to develop a thick skin and a sixth sense as to when to ignore a thread and let the newer hotheads fight it out!

I am still in business. The turn around time is 1-2 days.

Send to

Anubis Cycle LLC
703 Central Ave #2
Coon Valley WI 54623

Using the other guy results in less than perfect drilling patterns. I know I have duplicated his patterns and they are noticeably off even by the eye. Hardly worth the better part of a hundred bucks.

I might be interested, but I have 500 rotors, would things still line up?  Also does anyone know what this does to the longevity of the rotor?  I've heard they are already prone to breaking.
WHat i have read is that certain alloys will crack if too aggresively drilled. What alloy(s) were used over the 9 year production is anyones guess.

Disc brake rotors are 400 series stainless known as ferritic stainless.
Very tough.

Ferritic stainless steels generally have better engineering properties than austenitic grades, but have reduced corrosion resistance, because of the lower chromium and nickel content. They are also usually less expensive. They contain between 10.5% and 27% chromium and very little nickel, if any, but some types can contain lead. Most compositions include molybdenum; some, aluminium or titanium. Common ferritic grades include 18Cr-2Mo, 26Cr-1Mo, 29Cr-4Mo, and 29Cr-4Mo-2Ni. These alloys can be degraded by the presence of \sigma chromium, an intermetallic phase which can precipitate upon welding.
