Hiya All!

Just wanted to remind everyone that the Southern Classic Race Festival is on again this weekend (October 1-2) at Broadford Road Race track, in the State Motorcycle complex. I will be there racing (very slowly!) my CB350, and there is a swap meet always packed with CB750 bits.

C U there!

For further info check out: http://www.hmrav.org/

Cheers!
Ben.

Thanks Ben, I might go take a look! What's your bike number so I can cheer you on? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Well without stealing Ben's thunder, it was a fantastic sunny day, so a great ride and excellent race-meet, and I found a hard to find manual at the swap meet there.

I tried to get Ben's attention when he was preparing for a race, but he studiously ignored me while concentrating on blipping his throttle (that old 350 sounded pretty good though!) and later I searched him out in the pits and found his bike, but no Ben?

Oh well, maybe we'll catch up at Phillip Island in January? Here's a couple of pics. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Ahhhhhh!!! What a pisser! Would have been great to meet you Terry! Thanks for taking the pics! I was so knackered that after each race I retired to camp. Were you there both days?
You are right, it was an amazing weekend! The 350 ran like a dog on Sat, but Sunday morning some ol'hands helped me relieve the slides of 1/16 of an inch on the cutaway, made a world of difference! I struggled to keep the front wheel down on take off! My times got better each race as I got more comfortable with the track, even picked up a couple of places in the last race. Great fun!

I wont be at PI, but will be at the meet following, I think it is Winton. C U then!? Would have been good to see your 750!

Thanks again!
Ben.

No worries Ben, I'll try to make Winton. I was only there for a couple of hours on Sunday, I would have like to stay longer but it was my first weekend off in a month so I had too many promises to keep.

No matter though, I had a great ride, I took my Suzuki GS1000S as it's my only registered bike, but when I get the racer project on the road, I'll register one of my 750's and share the plate around, I don't think the racer will pass a roadworthy inspection, ha ha!

Thanks for letting me know about the race-meet mate, looking at the race bikes in the pits and the classic bikes out in the car park alone, was well worth the ride! Cheers, Terry. ;D

No problem, I'll put a reminder on here for all of them in Vic from now on!

I look forward to seeing your 750 racer!

Really was an amazing weekend, so far removed from normal life, tis hard to settle back in! No wonder people get addicted!

Cheers.
Ben.
