Yet another swingarm swap question
« on: December 10, 2008, 01:43:40 PM »
Ok, for the last hour and a half I've been going though swingarm posts and can't find the post that had year & models for easy swaps....

I have a 1972 CB750K

I would like to fit a longer swingarm on there without any machining etc...  pipe dream ?     Does anyone know definitively which years would bolt right up
to my '72 and be 1 to 2" longer ?    I plan to run the original drum on the back.

Can anybody point me in the right direction as to which year and model number I could search for ?

Thanks,  I'm back to the search....

Think the F1 is longer, know for sure the F2 is longer. They both fit, at least to my knowledge.

Good luck.

Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.

you can fit a DOHC swingarm. If you do a search there are pics. No machining but you do have to cut a few inches off the pivot. Rear spacers are up to you but you can figure it out with DOHC spacers since some of them share a wheel with the SOHC f2/3

When you say "cut off a few inches off the pivot"  what are you talking about ?
Is the DOHC frame wider by that much ??

Haven't searched DOHC swingarm yet....off to the archives

I threw my F2 swing arm on a 76 K model just fine and I know its longer than the one that came on the bike.
