1980 cb650c first bike i owned now the wife's ride.           1982 xv920j virago, bike i learned to ride on rescued it from a 13 year coma (sitting in the shed) now she runs beautifully and rides like a dream.

Jesse James had one placed transversely in a frame and it ended up on the cover of Cycle World... Radial Hell I think it was called.

Cool idea. Even if it will never be popular. My hat is off to the engineering.

From what I remember reading about the transversely mounted motor, it was unridable due to the lateral forces on the bike.

This is the issue I was referring to. Some editor or writer rode it. Did an analysis and everything. As soon as I find my copy I'll scan it for you.
