Fiberglass over bondo...??? (custom tank progress pics)
« on: December 14, 2008, 09:55:35 am »
I have read that its okay to lay glass over bondo for light/no stress applications such as a tank. should i lay a layer of glass cloth over the tank to get the final form or just finish with bondo skim coating?

(the tank is still in its rough phase by the way)

I would continue with bondo and skip the glass over it. Doesn't work on a boat.
A better filler to use would have been a resin/glass powder mix if you wanted glass to be the final.
