The Polisher
« on: December 15, 2008, 09:14:21 AM »
This is from a Poster over at Honda Twins.

Pretty funny stuff - the narrator makes it all work....

Brad is one sad dude. Like the narrator said, take it back where he got it, he don't need a bike.

It was funny though.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

I first thought it might be staged.  But then if he's that good of an actor, he'd have a movie deal.

What a dweeb.

I think the guys at the dealership are still laughing.

He looks like a real knob wearing that helmet and chaps... clashes with his turtle neck.

I almost feel bad for Brad though. He just doesn't get it.

Man, thanks tbpmusic for that good laugh.

like 333 I thought for a second maybe this is fake. Unfortunately I've met people like this; I could see being this much of a dope naive at 18 or 20 yrs. but this guy has little excuse. God help him 'cause that helmet won't when he dumps it.

Nice bike and I suppose ya gotta start somewhere. Still, what a tool. ::)

Well - takes all sorts I guess.
Just a young guy, looking for something - he'll keep the bike a while, then move on most likely.
Who knows, he may actually turn into a biker someday !!
I know I was pretty pretentious when I was his age - chances are we all were ??

I was just so very impressed with the way the "Interviewer" played it all.
I think that guy has a real future in filmaking/documentaries, whatever.
He made the whole thing work - otherwise it would have been just pitiful.

I agree about the interviewer's (can't call him a friend ::)) work as it made this as good as it is.

I can't say that I agree with you being like this at his age... I was always cool! It's now that I'm so pathetic.

Like I said, I've known guys like this and they're usually not out to hurt anyone and don't realize how they come off. Often it seems they've been sheltered. Whatever, maybe this bike will be the best thing for him if he doesn't get hurt.

My words to Brad are to ignore your friend's chuckles, he's jealous he doesn't own a nice Sportster like you, just keep riding. Until then thanks for the entertainment!

I personally have nothing against a Sportster.  I understand the guys get razzed for riding a Sportster.  And some get rid of them and get one that they do not get razzed about.

Besides, I had one for two weeks back in about '79.  '72 chopped and raked.  I could not stop it from leaking oil so I got rid of it.  My jap bikes did not have that problem.

The older knucks, pans, and shovels all leak, but the newer Harley's dont have that problem anymore and are much more reliable.  I will say this I love metric bikes and sport bikes but you can't beat HD for quality parts on their bikes.  The company itself is sh*t but they do make a good bike these days, just a lot of Brad's out there that ride them. But hey like people said we all have to start somewhere.

As I see it, all Harleys break down into 2 categories.  Solid mounted engines, and rubber mounted engines.  The solid ones will beat you to death, and the engine on the rubber mounts moves back and forth about 2 inches at idle, except for the posers that set the idle too high.

The solid mounted Harley's do shake a lot, but thats the fun of it lol.  My rubber mounted sporty def doesnt move around nearly that much, maybe half an inch if that and its a shakin b*stard.  Twotired, I know a bunch of guys that will beat 96 inch "Hogs" alll day long on their "piglets"  ;D

you have to find the other two companion videos to that one, in the last one I think a female biker club terrorizes brad. Yes it is staged and about 2 years old now (at least that is how long ago I first saw it).

I still say this guy is a first class nerd (yes I said nerd) for real. You just can't fake that.

Having said that kudos for a convincing and funny VDO.

Those other vids tell me that Brad is quite the actor after all.  The end of the dating one, as well as the scene where someone(kids, supposedly, but you never see a face shot of the operator) had to be staged.  Funny as hell, though.
