Battery purchasing questions??
« on: February 25, 2009, 05:46:48 AM »
Looking to pick up a battery for my 750, anyone have any recommendations? I was looking at the Odyssey gel ones, bit pricey, but the no maintenance seems like a good point. Also they only list the 750A on their site? Is that gonna be wrong for my K? The +/- terminals are in the right places & the size works.

Get an agm battery. They are like the odysseys but not as pricey. they are also maint free and can be mounted in any position. I got mine on sale for about $60.

AGM is the way to go.
I bought mine last year and I love it. They crank forever, and they come fully charged and ready to rock!
AGM = Absorbed Glass Mat. They are completely sealed so no more leaky battery acid on the bike.

I lucked out last season. I called the auto parts store and the guy said he had a regular battery in stock for my bike. When i got there the only one i could find was the $79 AGM battery. I gave the guy a line of bull#$%* that I drove like an hour to get there and They were the only parts store that had it. So his manager checked the cost and gave me the AGM battery for the other batteries price, $28! Sweet!
