Engine Bolts for a 78 CB750K
« on: December 19, 2008, 12:21:10 PM »
I just picked up a 78 CB750K and I need to know where I can get new engine bolts. The right side of the bike is missing the bolts, I took a pic of it. Do I need a special bolt or can I just grab one from HD or any hardware store?

Hey kine8282,
     nice find ;D

For my 78 750K, I order them throught my local Honda Dealer if I can't find them locally at the hardware store.
HOWEVER....I usually look up the thread size and length of the bolt on the fiche from Ronnies Mailorder Warehouse (http://www.ronniesmailorder.com/fiche_select.asp) or Crotch Rocket (www.crotchrocket.com).

Cheers

most local hardware stores carry metric fasteners.  no need to go OEM, in my view.  i use gr. 8.8 with removable loctite, properly torqued.  am sure a connection of this type will securely restrain these engines from jumping about.   ;)
