Hey guys,

New to the forum, New to Hondas, Hell I'm new to all of this.
I just bought a junker '78 CB400T-I Hawk to cut my teeth on (50 bucks).
I'm starting from the ground up, and don't say it, I know I'm out of my league.
Probably out of my mind, but think of all I'll learn from starting my first build on a ratty obscure CB with title issues instead of a plentiful 750 with an actual aftermarket.

Here's hoping I don't go mad in the process... Thanks in advance  ;)

Not heard of a T-I.  Is it a N American model?

Oh, welcome by the way. Plenty of room on here for any bike (not necessarily SOHC4s)

welcome my first bike was a 78 t-II. Type -2 whatever. The diference between type 1-2 was 1 had spokes and drum brake? 2 had comstars and disc brake.

Saw her rusting at a local repair shop (the only local repair shop), and I had to save her.

Kewl, I used to know a guy that ran Mulholland Drive and Hiway on one of those.  He then went to a 750F.

I'm sure I'll move up too, at some point, but for now I have to get her runnin'.
I just wanted something to wrench on that I wouldn't mind cutting on... ;D

I'd love to copy one of Carpy's 750's, but you gotta crawl first.
