NOVA AREA: Dulles Expo Ctr bike show Jan 3,4 2009 NoVA
« on: December 24, 2008, 08:05:52 PM »
http://www.cycleprousa.com/showinfo.cfm?showid=115

I will be there with my CB barring snow/sleet/hail since I live around 5 miles away, 2 late to be in show, but I will have the coolest (if not only like last year) bike in the lot...
that is unless any of you local SOHC guys wanna come on down to hang.

New Hooters right down the block, and mi casa is just up the road a piece as they say, with a garage fridge fulla Stella and some good cigars.

post here or shoot me a PM if your interested in getting together.

Hmm, I was planning on attending the show at the DC convention center on the 9-11th.  Maybe I'll have to do two if the weather is mild enough to ride out to dulles.

I will hopefully be making both. The Dulles show is nothing compared to the big DC show, but it is small and fun, and there are usually some deals to be had in the swap.

I want in.  The 3rd is bad for me, as I am going to a basketball game on Sat., so Sunday sounds like the day.  I'm up for D.C. as well.  Busy month.  There is a model engineers thing the following weekend in York PA., with heavy emphasis on "engines".

It sounds like you have entered, 78CB750Cafe.  Let us know what class. etc...

Too late to enter.... I found out about the show 2 days after the sign up deadline, so I will just be parking out front and digging the show. Hopefully I will finish my front brake overhaul I foolishly started @ 1 am last night, it would be hell to try and stop that beast on slick roads with only the back drum.

I am stuck working Saturday, so Sunday will be the day then. I will wear something fairly obvious (SOHC4 patch, some sorta CB T-shirt or something) or PM me for my cell # if you want to meet up. I should be there 11-12 or so.

:)

I'll probably be there-  assuming the temps are acceptable to ride out (the bike is currently my only transport, and I'm sure as hell not dealing with the metro to get out there.)

pasty-

looks like it should be a lot like this weekend, not bad riding weather for east coast December :)

LMK if you want my # to contact me between now and then.

Metro just won't do you a bit of good out here outside the beltway

I will definitely be going, weather doesn't look too bad.
I should arrive by noon, look for my bike outside, then poke around or call me.
I freshened up the mohawk the other day so I should be easy to find unless the helmet kills it ;)

The show was a rip off, 1/2 the size of last year, $15 door and zero good vendors or swap, last time they get $15 from me.

On the flip side, it was great to meet Pasty and 333, and there were a handful of very cool bikes (Triumph tracker, xs650 bobber, etc... pix 2 come later)

Next year lets just meet up the road @ Hooters ;)

I had plans to go, but got to thinking that this is the guy that did the show in Harrisburg and it was a rip.

Looking forward to Int'l M/C show

:D he he, you mean my boy "V" aka Mr Best in Show as he now has me call him?
He has been a complete fool with that trophy, taking it to bed with him and stuff....
I think the joke will wear off soon, and he and I are going to run it up to his Tattoo shop in Fredrick in a month or so.
