Calling all CB750 EXPERTS
« on: December 17, 2008, 07:13:55 PM »
I dropped off some parts to my guy who does powdercoating last week and he called me yesterday and said that something FELL out of the rim. I went over there today and he showed me the piece. I have NO clue in my mind what this is or if it actually is a part of my rim. The only things I dropped off are the comstars which the rear has 2 pieces and my steering stem. I personally do all of the work on my bike and am dumbfounded as to what it is.

Can you identify this piece and tell me what the hell it is, and if it is even part of my rim?

I have narrowed down that it is

a) not part of my front rim (the piece is to big to fit inside the rim)
b) not part of the exterior hub on the rear rim (so it has to be internal)

Must have been one of those spin-balancer hub parts...  ;D

That was my first thought but he said that he has never powdered any shocks, bike nor car.

I polished two of those this fall, just before I left the Moen...

Shock spring retainer gets my vote.
