Canadian prices
« on: December 18, 2008, 02:07:32 PM »
I've seen moaning on this and other forums about high Canadian prices but I was pleasantly surprised today to see I can get a HM300 exhaust for $1,000 which is still a lot of money but significantly less than I was quoted a few months back and less than I paid for a 341 system a while back. I'm guessing the reason is that these items were bought when our dollar was at it's peak.

I also went to buy some Chinese retro tires and was told they are no longer available in Canada so I priced some Dunlops and managed to get them for less than $100 each, they are made in Japan but those are almost Chinese prices. Now if I can figure out how to get around our high taxes........

Is the exhaust from Honda for a $1000? That's a ton of money less than I paid last year!
Cheers,
Cliff.

That's correct. I paid $1017 today, that's before taxes mind you. I've been watching the 300s go for around $1100-1200US on eBay recently. feliz

Cliff.

I always pay cash for anything bike related, leaving a paper trail can be incriminating.

I was told they even had them in stock in Vancouver, when I bought a set of 341s for my K4 earlier this year I paid quite a bit more and had to wait for them to come in from four remote areas of the globe, you would think they would at least keep four pipes together.

850$ Us

Sure but with exchange, duty, and shipping that would be quite a bit less here. Someone on this forum was saying they got a set from David Silver in the UK for $700
US shipped to Texas.
