new bike that i want
« on: September 28, 2005, 10:59:51 PM »
hey again all.  im back on the internet.

where i work there's a bike that is just so awesome.  everyday for about amonth ii have seen it, but never the owner.  so i desided to investigate further... its a kawasaki ZRX1200.  looking up pictures on the net and they are no way near as cool as this bike.  so it must be custom...

looks like he took off the front fairing, made the headlights dual and circle and...i guess some other things that make it look older and smoother.  its like a new/vintage, and not the gay new/vintage.  it looks road worn and hints racer!

ugh!  i have to get pictures to explain.  for now heres a basicly stock one i found on the internet.  http://www.3rhm.com/images/FL3Qtr0302082.jpg  this picture does not give justice to what this bike can look like.   ill try to sneek a picture of it tomorrow.

anyway, my question is anyone familiar with these bikes?  any stories or know someone who has one?  im thinking about getting one and just pokin around here to see if anyone has something to say about this bike.  i know its not a cb, but hey i still plan to keep my mine.  i just need a bike that will compete with my friends GSXR750

That's a Eddie Lawson Replica, don't know if the colour is stock. It's also one of my fav bikes, I posted about it a while back

I would keep it stock, square headlights are generally ugly but it fits very well with the fairing.

I considered buying one of those at one point. Very cool machines and I love the green/white/cameleon purple painted ones best.  Like Raul said, they are the Eddie Lawson replicas.  I believe he raced an early 80s KZ1000 that was painted like I stated above.  I like the fact that the ZRXs have a standard, upright seating position that feels retro and the engine is naked.  If I were to buy a new bike, and I probably never will, it would be that one.
