started the bike on the second kick  ;D

Now, that smile on your face when it fired up was worth every penny, wasn't it?

Oh yeah definitely worth every penny I spent.

my pictures are to big so I gotta find a way to resize them.

Starting on the 2nd kick is definitely a good sign. Have you decided what you're gonna do with this bike? Build another cafe?

Sorry I didnt have time to post pictures today, a friend of mine was going away to california for a while so I spent the day with him.
Not exactly sure what I'm going to do with the bike yet, Seeing as I dont have very much money, the bike is mostly going to stay original, well its not original now but, stay the same. Possibly in the future cafe it but for now its just for riding for when the season rolls around.

Oh and did I mention, it wasnt even 12,000 miles, 10,812!

So I ran the bike again today, some odd noise coming from the valves I am assuming, not sure how to explain the noise tho.

not sure what kind of bike it is because the listing's down and you haven't made with the pics yet, but based on the cb500 starter, i am assuming it's a 550.  if that's the case and it is pre-78, check under the end caps for rocker wear.  the noise is likely to be the rockers spinning in their shafts and ovaling out the holes under the end caps.  either that or the cam chain.  if it's the rockers you can stick o-rings behind the end cap posts to prevent further wear.  nice find!

Yes I'm very excited to get to work on it, altho I want to sort out all mechanical problems before I do anything else.

Haha, yeah I'm still not quite sure what happened to the speedo.

So I wanna take off the pipes and paint them flat black, I can't sand blast them, so anyone have a suggestion on what grit to start with?
I searched on it for a little bit but didn't really find what I needed.
