....but the first 77 pages of members have never made even one post. Either there are a lot of looky-lous out there or the information available from this site is staggeringly comprehensive....and they don't have time to say "Hi".

This found out during my research for the "Who is the member' thread.

Yes I am a sad, sorry GHOF!

We are in the process of weeding out slackers. Right now, when I get a chance, I delete those who registered more than a year ago, have not logged-in in a year and have zero posts. There are quite a few of these as well.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

well bob i am one of those that don't post alot. i know plenty about my 750 s but in the learning process with the wings that i owne. earlier this year i got an email from steve sanders goldwing forum about being inactive and the account being deleted. well i didn't even remember joining and i thank them for the notification and post something weekly now. classic goldwings is sending email notifications to those that have joined but not posted, i told dan about what steve was doing and he is sending reminders to in active members and maybe you could too before deleting them

det,

Well, your suggestion sounds nice, but without some automated system to send such eMails, it's a bit labor intensive. Keeping track of who responded.. or didn't, would be something of a chore. I'm not concerned about stepping on many toes right now with criteria such as, registered more than a year, hasn't logged-in in a year and zero posts. They have to meet all three of these criteria for me to delete them.

I think I own at least two of those other user ID's................ :-[
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Consider yourself cured, Terry. Sybil is gone.  ;D  Glenn's utility may have done her in.

Ha ha, only an Englishman (or maybe an Aussie) would have picked that up, but no, I was talking about the woman of the same name in the US with multiple personalities. Cheers, Terry. ;D
