Hello from the Great White North!
« on: December 22, 2008, 03:23:59 PM »
Hello SOHC,

I'm Brent and I have just finished restoring a 1975 CL360K1.  I made a few changes including the tank and MAC 2-2 pipes.  It runs well and sounds great!  I also made a manual timing chain adjuster which replaces the spring-loaded system with a positive lock.  This winter, I'll be replacing the tach drive seal and various bits that have shaken out.  I'll probably get a higher quality final chain.  I welded up my own 17-tooth drive sprocket before I realized that I could buy one from JT's.....now, do I feel lucky?  Well do I, punk?

Yes, up here in O-town we retire to the garage to work on hopeless basket case bikes all winter.  Right now I have the aforementioned CL360 (which runs), a '77 CB125S (which does not) and a '69 PC50 (which not only does not run, but smells bad too...) Mice...I think.  I also am helping my neighbor repair his Rebel 250 after small upset.  He said "if we keep the bike in your garage, we can work on it".  OK...hey!

I haven't read all the SOHC posting rules yet, so if you want to see some restoration pics of the CL360, follow the link:
