XS750 tank on a cb750?
« on: September 29, 2005, 08:02:19 PM »
Ok so here a strange one for you.  I was plucking around at a motorcyle scrapyard today looking for used fork tubes, ears and I saw the wall of gas tanks.  I had been thinking about going for a fiberglass Dunstall reproduction to replace my battered and rusty tank when I came across an old XS 750 tank.  I have always liked the way these look and I was wondering if anyone had ever tried to fit one on a CB750?  The XS has plenty of room on the underside.  It looks about an inch longer but the front U (don't know what they are called...where you slip the from frame into the tank) looks slightly bigger...easy fix with a sleeve.

So....what do you think?
